Power Point Project 2 (ON YOUR OWN)

CTAE FOUNDATION SKILLS Standards: The Foundation Skills for Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) are critical competencies that students pursuing any career pathway should exhibit to be successful. As core standards for all career pathways in all program concentrations, these skills link career, technical and agricultural education to the state’s academic performance standards.

 CTAE-FS-4 Problem Solving and Critical Thinking: Learners define and solve problems, and use problem-solving and improvement methods and tools.  CTAE-FS-5 Information Technology Applications: Learners use multiple information technology devices to access, organize, process, transmit, and communicate information.

Based on the previous Power Point that was created with a guide, students will create another Power Point about a career of their choice. Students will use their critical thinking skills to design the layout of their Power Point. Students will decide what type of information needs to be included in their presentation. In a real world situation, students will not have a “guide” to use to create a research project. You need to use what you have learned from the previous project and apply it to this project.

 Students will design their own Power Point about the career of their choice.  Students will use GCIS to research their career. For additional information, students can use a search engine to find other resources.  Students will use their critical thinking skills to organize their Power Point project and to include the needed information.  Students will use their knowledge of Power Point to demonstrate the skills they have learned such as animation, background design, and slide layout design.  Minimum of 10 slides
