Boxes for Bravery A creative contest to support our Troops

Deployed Troops long for the comforts of home. Sending care packages is a great way to support them!

Feel free to search “decorated care packages” on Pinterest and Google Images for inspiration.

Boxes do not have to include contents, but any type of donation is welcome. See list of accepted donation items below. Boxes will be donated to Operation Care Package. Contest Rules:

 Empty boxes are available in the library. You can also get them from your local post office. Only APO Flat Rate Boxes can be used.

 Entries can be submitted in the library anytime from 4/11/2016 - 4/15/2016

 A completed contest application must be included with your contest entry

 In-library voting for People’s Choice will be between 4/18-4/22/2016

 Winners will be announced 4/25/2016

 Contest entries will be photographed

 Inappropriate themes and items will not be accepted

 Prize packages will be awarded for each category. Prizes can be picked up in the library once winners are announced. Winners will be contacted via email or phone. Categories are as follows:

Most Patriotic Show your patriotism with a Red, White and Blue-inspired package.

Best Graphic Novel Box decorations are based on a Graphic Novel or superhero (examples: Batman, X-men, Ms. Marvel, Clan Apis)

Best Overall (People’s Choice Award) Let the people decide which is their favorite!

Below is a list of suggested items that are needed. You can use Google to search for soldier care packages for other ideas. Items cannot be homemade, perishable, in glass, made from pork, or likely to melt. Entry Form
