STUBBERS MEETING YEAR 6 PARENTS & CHILDREN May I remind you that there will be a meeting held at 6pm on Tuesday 6 th June for parents of children attending the year 6 residential at Stubbers in June. Please make every to attend, preferably with your child, as a lot of important information will be given.

SUN SAFETY As the weather, hopefully, starts to become increasingly warm and sunny it is important that the children are kept safe in the sun. Please ensure that you provide a named bottle of still water for your child to drink in class each day. Please also provide your child with a sunhat and apply sunscreen to them before school. The children often spend significant periods of time outside during the course of a school day so sun safety is vital.

WALK TO SCHOOL WEEK, We have, once again, been participating in ‘Walk To School Week. The aim of this initiative is to promote walking as the most reliable, easiest and healthiest mode of travel. With more children walking to school, the amount of congestion around school is reduced, children raise their road safety awareness and enter their classes feeling alert and ready to learn. Teachers have been keeping a tally of how the children get to school each day and the class with most children walking [or at least partially walking], cycling or scooting will be the winners. The winning class will then be presented with the special ‘Golden Boot’ in assembly.

BOOKING FOR AFTER SCHOOL CLUB If you want your child/ren to attend our After School Club, it is essential that you book them into the specific sessions that you would like them to attend. Only children whose parents have made bookings will be collected by staff and taken to After School Club at the end of day.

GENERAL ELECTION School will be closed for staff training on Thursday 8th June 2017, as the school will be used as a polling station for the general election. Children will return to school, as normal on Friday 9th June.
