Second, touch base with the Alumni Chapter in the area you wish to work. Third, contact TUNE regarding specific interests, particularly those not found in the sources below. TUNE will constantly work to update the sources found in this area, so please contact us if you find a link that is no longer working or new links to valuable contacts. Ultimately, finding an internship takes work and diligence and is the result of the relationship developed between the intern and the company employing them. While many of us can help open doors for you – YOU have to give them the reason to invite you in (good resume, prompt follow-up, reasonable expectations, cheerful personality, etc, etc)!

Lastly, before contacting companies regarding your search – we recommend you ask yourself a few of the following “Internship Questions”, to better prepare yourself in conducting your search:

1. Why are you interested in being an intern? 2. Are you wanting a paid or unpaid internship (or does it matter)? 3. What specific city/state are you wanting to work in? Are you flexible or willing to travel? 4. What specific area do you wish to be an intern in? (Advertising, operations, sales,??) 5. What is your current knowledge of that area? (Job history, classes, personal experience)? 6. How will this experience benefit you in your long-term career goals? 7. What special skills or talents can you contribute to the company hiring you? 8. What are your expectations regarding your internship? (Hours, dates available, credit)?
