How do I send an email to my instructor? Click on the Faculty Information button to find your Instructor's email address. Compose your message in your Cincinnati State Email account Send it to your Instructor's Email address.
May I use my personal or corporate email to communicate with my instructor? No. All email communication from your instructor will be addressed exclusively to your cincinnatistate.edu email address. Most faculty at the college have purposely blocked the receipt of email from free email services like Hotmail and Yahoo. If you email your instructor from your personal or business email account, there is a good chance that they will not receive your message. Always correspond with your instructor using your Cincinnati State student email account.
What assignments do I turn in? Check the Assignments Checklist to check for the exact printouts that I will be grading. A printout means a saved file on your Flash Drive or Hard Disk. Use the Dropbox to turn in your assignments.
How to Turn in Assignments using the Drop Box? Watch the video on the Assignments Page to learn how to use the Drop Box.
File Names for Documents Uploaded to the Drop Box In a file name, characters A-Z, a-z, 0-9, period '.', and underscore '_' are all acceptable. Special characters (@, !, #, $, %, ^, &, *, etc.) are NOT supported in file names. You WILL be able to upload assignment files to the Drop Box if the file contains special characters, however the instructor WILL NOT be able to download the file from the drop box (a download error will result). To be safe, make sure that your file names include ONLY Letters, Numbers, and the Underscore character before sending your file to the Drop Box.
I cannot access my Blackboard courses or see my grades. What happened? Per Dr. Monica Posey - Academic Vice President, in an email dated 1/19/2012. To achieve a higher response rate, students will now be required to complete their course and instructor evaluations.
