Wiley X Eyewear Introduces New Zak Active Series Model for Boating and Fishing

WILEY X® ANNOUNCES EXCITING PLANS FOR 2014 ICAST IN ORLANDO JULY 16-18

Bass Pro “Meet and Greets,” Social Media Contest and New Products Highlight World’s Leading Fishing Tackle Trade Show The Wiley X exhibit at the 2014 ICAST show will be bustling with activity and excitement, as dealers, manufacturers, tackle industry representatives, media and other fishing enthusiasts converge on Booth #2436 like a school of hungry tuna. When they do, they’ll be plenty for them to see and do, beginning with special “meet and greet” sessions featuring two of Wiley X’s top sponsored professional anglers. Stephen Browning will be in the Wiley X booth Wednesday, July 16 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Edwin Evers will be meeting and greeting fans and bass fishing enthusiasts on Thursday, July 17 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. These sessions will be great opportunities for visitors to get autographs, pose for photos and just talk fishing with two of the country’s most successful and popular bass fishermen. Wiley X is also launching a brand new, social-media driven contest that will be going on throughout the show. The ICAST Wiley X “Selfie” Contest encourages visitors to drop by the Wiley X booth and use their smart phones to take a “selfie” photo wearing Wiley X shades. To enter and win, people can simply take their Wiley X “selfie,” fill out a short entry form (so they can be notified if they win) and post the photo to Twitter, Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #WXICAST.

One lucky winner will be chosen at random each day of the show, and will receive a free pair of Wiley X sunglasses (winners are encouraged to pick up their sunglasses at the Wiley X booth, during show hours).

And of course, there is another very good reason to swing by the Wiley X booth during ICAST — checking out all the new Wiley X sunglass styles for avid anglers. Wiley X’s unique brand of Absolute Premium Protection has made these shades the choice of serious fishermen in fresh and saltwater — including top professionals such as Evers and Browning. Many new models featuring Wiley X’s Polarized Plus technology will be highlighted at the booth, such as the new Climate Control™ WX Knife with Polarized Bronze lenses and Brown Crystal frame, Street Series WX Moxy with Polarized Green Platinum Flash lenses and Olive Stripe frame, and Active Series WX Tobi with Polarized Silver Flash lenses and Gloss Black frame.

Wiley X’s advanced vision protection is a major reason why the company’s shades have “caught on” with anglers everywhere.

All Wiley X sunglasses meet stringent ANSI Z87.1 High Velocity and High Mass Impact Safety standards, providing occupational grade protection against flying sinkers, errant backcasts and other potential dangers of fishing. In addition, almost every Wiley X style is Rx-Ready, providing fishermen who wear corrective lenses with both state-of-the-art protection and crystal clear vision. Wiley X’s DIGIFORCE prescription lens technology provides superior clarity for all prescriptions and sharp vision across the full field of view.
