Community Assistance Referral Service (CAReS) Kentucky $3,000 Technology Update This grant assisted with the purchase of new office technology, including laptop computers, desktop scanners and a new printer. This grant was funded, in part, by the Boyd County Fund.

Ceredo-Kenova Community Center West Virginia $3,000 Ceredo-Kenova War Memorial Exterior Renovation This grant aided the War Memorial in its exterior renovation, including the purchase of new windows and new entrance roofs. This grant was funded, in part, by the West Virginia Neighborhood Investment Program Endowment Fund.

CONTACT of Huntington West Virginia $2,000 Website and Brochure Development This grant helped CONTACT with the development of a new informational brochure and a new website design. This grant was funded, in part, by the West Virginia Neighborhood Investment Program Endowment Fund.

Cross Roads United Methodist Church West Virginia $2,000 Computers for After-School Program This grant helped purchase Apple computers for this after-school program, which serves 90 children attending Geneva Kent and Hite Saunders elementary schools.

Hope’s Place Kentucky $2,500 Sand Tray Room Construction This grant funded the construction of a therapeutic sand tray room to use during therapy for child victims of sexual abuse. This grant was funded, in part, by the Boyd County Fund.

St. Mary’s Medical Center Foundation West Virginia $5,000 St. Mary’s Hospitality House This grant assisted in the purchase and replacement of carpeting for the hospitality house (formerly the Jeffrey George Comfort House).

The nearly $900,000 we distributed in the Tri-State last year shouldn’t be kept secret, so please help spread the news about the Foundation’s good works. 10 Our region is experiencing an unprecedented transfer of wealth, as estates change hands from one generation to the next, nearly $5 billion in the next ten years. We have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to provide for the Tri-State’s future.
