Hello XXXX (SBDC Client) ....

I want to follow-up on my recommendation to have a SBDC mtg soon. Normally for my clients that are in business, I recommend at least an annual operations and financial review. In light of the recent Wall Street meltdown and impact on the U.S. economy and small businesses, it is even more important that your business have an annual check-up. Moreover, depending on our evaluation, if needed, I can suggest specific ideas, resources, and strategies that may be important to ensure the continued strength and viability of your business.

As your SBDC business advisor, I am sensitive to the impact that the Wall Street crisis is having or may potentially have on small businesses. While it is true some businesses will feel little impact, still others are already or will begin to experience the impact of limits on credit extension and demand for goods and services. The downturn in the business cycle may touch other pockets of businesses; volume, orders, accts receivables, accts payables, and variable and fixed expenses. What will be effect on your cash flow? Will you be well positioned to survive the economic downturn? I am committed to doing all I can to help you and your business weather the storm and get through this economic crisis or other issues that may be impacting your business. At the very least, we should sit down and review your company's business model and financial reports. This is a time to keep your SBDC business advisor close at hand.

Please call me to make your appointment.

Sincerely ... Joe On Lam Senior Certified Business Advisor
