Assistance with financial issues, ODSP, OW, CPP • Fill out forms, connect with OW/ODSP workers, applications for CPP, referrals to voluntary trustees, applications for grants or funding. Pest control and basic maintenance • Assistance with room preparation, laundry, coordinate extreme cleans and pest control. Volunteer opportunities and employment supports • Resume building, coordinate training, job hunting, interview preparation, skills building workshops. Recreational activities • Day programs, coordinating access to community centres, in-house activities. Tenant and legal supports • Court accompaniment, coordinating access to legal aid, advocacy, eviction prevention, accompaniment to the Landlord & Tenant Board, landlord and tenant mediation. 4 Our Housing Support Services Include CONT’D Support with taxes and annual income reviews • Referrals, assistance filling out forms. Community meals and food programs • Grocery shopping accompaniment, referrals to food banks, assistance with budgeting and meal planning, in-house cooking programs. Safer sex supplies, substance use & naloxone kits • Access to condoms, safer drug use kits and information, provision of sharps containers, needle exchange programs, and overdose prevention workshops. Newcomer, LGBTQ2S+, Senior info and resources • Legal assistance, social support, friendly visiting. Tokens & access to transportation for appointments • Wheel-Trans applications, Dixon Hall transportation services. Health advocacy and appointment accompaniment • Coordinate appointments, doctors/dentist/specialist referrals and appointment accompaniments. Referrals, connections to local resources and much more!
