A.) Go to http://www.merriam-webster.com/ and look up the definition for censorship/censoring. Copy and paste the definition(s) in to your document, and READ them for understanding!
B.) There are many different types of censorship. Individuals and governments have a history of censoring many different things, such as books, music, art, speech, movies, internet, etc. – Name three real-life examples of the ways in which things are censored or have been censored.
C.) Cite your sources from B.) by copying and pasting the url/web address into your document.
D.) List three reasons you think that people or governments might censor.
E.) List three reasons you think that people might be against censorship.
Part 2 – Persuasive PIE Paragraph – 20 pts. possible Next, write a persuasive PIE paragraph (will be graded with formal PIE rubric).
TOPIC -- Do you think that there are any valid reasons for censorship? Argue for or against censorship, for instance: There are definitely some valid reasons for censorship….. Or Censorship is wrong, no matter what the reason….
