Position Description:

This FSO position is responsible for administering, interpreting, implementing and enforcing policies in accordance with the Department of Defense (DoD) National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other government agency directives. In addition, this position is responsible for overall facilities management and safety programs. Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 Possess thorough knowledge of the practices, procedures, and policies of facilities security as well as a complete knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program.  Responsible for personnel security clearance processing, indoctrination, and ongoing security education in accordance with appropriate directives, including reviewing and submitting clearance requests, reinstatements and periodic investigations.  Document and report adverse information, change in personnel status, as well as other reporting requirements through appropriate channels.  Manage visitor control program  Conduct security briefings and debriefings.  Validate facility security clearances in the Industrial Security Facility Database (ISFD).  Support the maintenance of Contract Security Classification Specifications (DD Form 254) and have a working knowledge of DD 254 practices.  Maintain, implement, and update security practices and procedure manuals and policies.  Conduct self inspections and review core security processes for compliance.  Effectively and successfully participate in audits and inspections.  Develop educational and training programs for all employees with regards to security and safety.  Implementation and notification of program security requirements to management and staff.  Manage overall safety program including preparation of annual safety training, risk assessment, maintenance of IIPP plan and injury investigations.  Responsible for the negotiation and purchase of office equipment for two locations.  Coordinate and schedule maintenance repairs on all corporate office equipment.

Qualifications:

 A Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance is required.  Bachelors Degree preferred.  An SSBI within past 5 years is preferred  2-4 years of related security experience preferred  Experience setting up and maintaining a cleared facility.  Proficient with various computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)  Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the capacity to multi-task.
