The Fell Pony Society does not accept liability for any loss of property or any accident or damage to any animal, vehicle, spectator or exhibitor, and all the entries are accepted subject to this condition. 2. All ponies must be the bona fide property of a fully paid full or junior (but not associate) member of the Fell Pony Society. 3. All ponies must be registered with the Fell Pony Society. 4. Riders must wear a riding hat that complies with the current safety standard. 5. Ponies must not exceed 14hh. Judges are at liberty to request a pony to be measured. JMB certificates will be accepted - pony and certificate must be presented to the judge. 6. Exhibitors should not enter classes judged by their pony's breeder or family. 7. All Cups and Trophies are perpetual. 8. Ponies need not be vaccinated against Equine Flu, but any pony showing signs of coughing, or any virus complaint, will be asked to leave the show field (NB Ponies stabled overnight will need ‘flu vaccinations) 9. Entries close 15th August – STRICTLY NO LATE ENTRIES. No entries on the day except for classes 12, 19, 20, 21, 23, 30, 30a, 31, 32, 33. Ponies may only be entered once in any class 10. Entry fee £5 per class for pre-entries (note: for pairs classes (12 and 23) the entry fee is £5 per pair). Entries on the day per rule 9 charged at £8 per entry (per pair for classes 12 & 23). Prize money £5, £3, £2 to be collected from the trophy tent after the class on presentation of rosette. 11. Entry fees will not be refunded. 12. Complaints - to be made in writing with a fee of £20 (will be refunded if complaint upheld). 13. Timetable provided for guidance only. Class times cannot be guaranteed, and classes may clash. Anyone entered in such classes should ensure the Duty Steward in the Secretary’s tent is advised. 14. Competitors must wear their correct number while in the rings. 15. FPS membership number MUST be stated on entry form. There will be a charge of £5 levied on members not complying, to cover the additional administration required to find this number. 16. A special rosette will be awarded in each In Hand class to the highest placed brown or bay pony. All rosette winners to go forward to compete for the Heltondale Rose V Rosebowl for the best brown or bay, presented by Miss Jane Glass RIDDEN CLASSES all ponies to be 4 years old and over. Judged 50% on ride and manners and 50% conformation. Note: novice ponies may enter open classes, white armband to be worn. A special rosette will be presented to the highest placed novice in open classes. Novice ponies to be shown in snaffle bridles.

Each UK Area Support Group of the Fell Pony Society is entitled to put forward two ponies for the final. Ponies can be chosen using any method each individual area decides, but ponies must be kept in the area they represent, and must be owned and exhibited by current support group members who live in the area they represent.

The Inter Area In-hand Championship will take place at the Southern Show after the In-hand Show Championship, and is only open to qualified ponies. Each Area Co-ordinator must notify the Southern Show Secretary of the ponies qualified to represent their area by 15 August 2011 and qualified competitors must inform the Show Secretary that they intend to compete in the final by 15 August 2011.

The NPS/www.horsequest.co.uk M&M Ridden Grand Prix

Open to stallions, mares and geldings four years old and over, registered in the main body of their respective Breed Society stud book. Rider any age except stallions (see NPS rules). Ponies may be shown in any suitable bridle. The Southern Show Ridden Champion will qualify for the Final at the NPS Autumn Festival at Hartpury College on 29 October 2011. It is not necessary for the pony’s owner to be an NPS member to qualify for the final, but the owner must become a full member in order to enter the final.

Crown Farm is situated north of Burford just off the B4437 Charlbury to Burford road. Directions from the South: Either M5 Junction 11a, 32 miles; M4 Junction 15, 27 miles; M40 Junction 8, 32 miles. From Burford head north down the main street. At the bottom of the hill are traffic lights over the river. Turn right at the roundabout just after the bridge onto the A361 signposted Chipping Norton. Turn right onto the B4437 signposted Charlbury. (Watch for Blue FPS signs) In 2.5 miles our show field will be signposted to the right off this road. Directions from the North: M40 Junction 11, 21 miles From Chipping Norton centre take the A361 signposted to Burford. Turn left onto the B4437 signposted Charlbury. (Watch for Blue FPS signs) In 2.5 miles our show field will be signposted to the right off this road.

STABLING Limited stabling is available – please phone Janet Badger at Crown Farm on 01993 832083. Ponies using overnight stabling must be vaccinated for flu.
