ILMS Lake Leader Capacity Building Scholarship Officers Ron Bedwell Indiana Lakes Management Society is providing funds for need-based scholarships to assist in President building the capacity of the state’s lake leaders to learn about protecting our valuable water Crown Point, IN resources. The Lake Leaders Scholarship is intended to reduce the cost of registration, meals and lodging for attendance at the 22nd Annual Indiana Lakes Conference. This year the Scott Banfield conference will be on March 26-27, 2010, at the Radisson Star Plaza in Merrillville. Vice-President Angola, IN A limited number of scholarships will be awarded to staff, board members and active volunteers of lake organizations and watershed groups who hold a leadership role. Scholarships will be Sara Peel provided to cover a portion of the cost of attending the conference to those best-qualified Secretary applicants who are in need of assistance to enable their participation. Preference will be given Warsaw, IN to those individuals who have not attended an ILMS conference in the last 3 years.

Award recipients must complete conference registration to attend the ILMS Conference. The award also includes reimbursement of hotel, food and Christian Anderson travel expenses up to $220 and a complimentary one-year ILMS membership.
