Homework expectations Reading & Language Math & Social Living -Given of Monday and due Friday -On whiteboard for 1 week -Good Study Habits: Read for 15 -Parent/Guardian checks homework minutes, organize notebook, review is completed & signs it notes, finish incomplete work

Make-Up Policy (absent or missing work)  Students are responsible for all work missed (unless pulled for services). They can come directly after school to pick up missed work and it is to be returned by date given.  If a student is absent he/she must return with a proper note stating the name, date, reason for the absence and a parent/guardian signature. (In ELA the student needs a note and their make-up work to earn daily effort points toward their grade.)  The school day is from 8:00-2:40. Please schedule appointments around those times to limit the number of absences, lateness, or early dismissal.

Coach class  If your child needs help, he/she can schedule a day with the teacher after school. Materials (Refer to supply list sent home last year or at registration.)  Supplies should be brought to school daily & checked periodically for replacement.  Text books and other materials are to be signed out & returned in a timely manner.  Please keep an individual pack of tissues with you for your personal use.  Proper uniforms should be worn daily. (Big coats should not be worn in class)  Games/toys/electronics (including phones) should not be brought to school. Students share lockers and there are no locks. The school is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please leave valuables at home. If valuables need to come to school please turn them in to the office before school starts and they can be retrieved at the end of the day.

Management system PBIS School Reading & Language Arts Math & Social Living  Refer to paper given out the first  Posted and taught in class the first week of school entitled “Class week and reviewed as needed. Management System”.

Strategies for success  Talk about your child’s day at school.  Practice reading or math facts for 15 minutes. (Alternate days)  Have a positive attitude about the school, & working as a team.  Email your child’s teachers to check on their progress.  Clean out binders weekly, and refill materials as needed.  Provide a good night sleep, daily attendance on time.
