SPECTROSCOPY POST PROCESSING (10-5-2010)

Single Voxel - Control – highlight SV scan and localizer, select Functool Research Average Compute Annotate

- Right click to Save View (Will have your scout box, scout image, and graph all in one.

MultiVoxel - STEP 1 Control key – MV scan and localizer image in browser Functool In the top left square mag the image as large as you can while Keeping the brain anatomy in the image Save view - This shows all the spectra graphs for the RAD. Bottom left square – window out the colors (Middle click&drag) Control X to delete all of the boxes in green (which indicates they are activated. Click on the Show/Hide Grid button on the toolbar. Hold the control key down and click on the boxes you would like to sample in the upper left square. You can move these around if you need to. You usually need to sample the following (White Matter, Gray Matter, Basal Ganglia, and the lesion If there is one.) Or whatever the rad asked for. The values of each ROI should be at the bottom of the left lower square. Save View In the top left square, click on an ROI. The top right window will now display the corresponding spectra. Move the cursor to the top right square and hit space bar to resize the graph. Push the ? button on the keyboard to display the corresponding box number in the top left corner. Save View (graph in right upper square) Click on your 2nd ROI box in the upper left square to activate it, and then save view that graph in the upper right square. Continue until you have saved all of your ROI’s. Exit Functool

Step 2 - Color Images Control key - highlight MV scan and localizer image in browser and select Functool.

Leave colors and do not window level. Put cursor in bottom left square and hit control X to eliminate the numbers and boxes. Change the metabolite to what you need by holding the cursor over the red metabolite, right click and drop down to select the one you want. Save View for the following metabolites:

N-Acetyl Choline Choline/Creatine Lipid and Lactate N-Acetyl/Creatine

When done, exit Functool and send all saved series to Stentor.
