Mr. Krill brings 22 years of professional experience in the areas of emergency management, physical and information security, risk management, and project management. He started his career in the Incident Response Branch at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission before working in the Emergency Preparedness Section at the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station. Prior to Booz Allen, Mr. Krill was an Assistant Vice President/Division Manager for Readiness and Response at Science Applications International Corporation.

Mr. Krill earned a Bachelor of Science in nuclear engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a Master of Environmental Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University. He is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in engineering management, with a focus in crisis, disaster, and risk management, from the George Washington University. The 13th annual Emergency Management Higher Education conference is his second.

Mr. Krill responded to the 9/11 terrorist attack against the Pentagon and served lead operational roles for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, the 2004 Presidential Inauguration, and during Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. For the latter, he received the prestigious Secretary of Transportation’s Team Award.

Mr. Krill is a principal member of the U.S. Technical Advisory Group to the International Standards Organization Technical Committee 223 on societal security and the American National Standards Institute Homeland Security Standards Panel. He is also Region 3 secretary of the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) and co-chair of the Private- Public Partnership caucus.

Mr. Krill is a lead or contributing author to 25 publications, including the 2006 Report to Congress on catastrophic hurricane evacuation planning, the American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials’ “Guide to Highway Vulnerability Assessment for Critical Asset Identification and Protection,” a U.S. Department of Energy technical standard on risk management, and several magazine and journal articles. He lectured at Northwestern University’s Center for Public Safety and the George Washington University’s Institute for Crisis, Disaster and Risk Management and presented at annual conferences for IAEM, ASIS International, The International Emergency Management Society, and the Transportation Research Board.

Mr. Krill holds two U.S. patents for advanced radioactive shielding materials and manufacturing processes.
