Join St. Timothy’s Church for “Welcome Back Sunday,” Sept. 13

HERNDON, VA – With the summer break over, what better way to get back in the swing of things than to attend the St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church’s annual “Welcome Back Sunday?” On Sept. 13, the ministries of St. Timothy’s will welcome parishioners and guests alike with special activities and more, following the 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. church services. This is an event you don’t want to miss.

Welcome Back Sunday is an opportunity for parishioners and those curious about St. Timothy’s to learn about the church and the many ways it serves our community. It’s also a chance to find out about the activities and missions of the church’s various ministries. Each of these groups will have a table set up with representatives to discuss activities, outreach programs, and opportunities for you to get involved. Ministry tables will be distinguishable by brightly colored tablecloths and balloons.

The highlight of any Welcome Back Sunday is the picnic, which follows the 11:00 a.m. service. The Hospitality Ministry will grill hot dogs and offer beverages, and families are asked to bring salads, casseroles, or desserts to share.

Welcome Back Sunday is a fun and informative way to learn about how you can be active in your community and be part of a church family, so please join us Sept. 13. We want to see you there!

For 140 years, St. Timothy’s has been an active participant in, and a pillar of, the Herndon community, providing a strong tradition of area involvement and outreach. For more information, please call the church at (703) 437-3790, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., or visit our website at www.saint-timothys.org. The website provides details about all of the services provided by St. Timothy’s and the church’s history.
