Hunting Policy at Enid Lake
1. All hunting seasons are set by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife Fisheries and Parks (MDWFP), and all state rules and regulations apply.
2. All persons must have, in their possession, a valid Mississippi Hunting License.
3. No hunting or trapping is allowed within 1000’ of any dam, building, construction site, or public use area.
4. Only temporary blinds for waterfowl hunting and portable tree stands/ground blinds for deer hunting will be allowed and must be removed daily. Climbing spikes are not permitted. Placement of blinds or stands shall not be used as a means of reserving a hunting location.
5. All firearms in boats underway or ATV’s in transit must be unloaded and cased.
6. Running/training of dogs on COE lands is prohibited from March 1st through May 31st.
7. Motorized vehicle operation on COE lands is subject to posted restrictions. Leaseholders of COE agricultural land retain the right to restrict vehicular access.
8. It is illegal to throw or dump trash, animal carcasses, etc. on Corps of Engineers Lands, right-of-ways, and roads.
9. Springdale Wildlife Management Area at Enid Lake will be open to the general public for DEER HUNTING ONLY during all MDWFP Hill Zone deer seasons (October 1 through January 31). All MDWFP and North Mississippi Lakes rules and regulations will apply. The area is to be accessed by foot traffic only with exceptions for those with disabilities who may be issued a permit by COE personnel for access by ATV or UTV.
