2013-14 EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES in COASTAL or MARINE SCIENCES COAST-CSUF Work-Study Research Program: up to $4,000 support per academic year, 10 to 20 hours per week.

Who May Apply: Students should qualify for Federal Work-Study and be juniors, seniors, or graduate students majoring in Biology, Chemistry, Geology, or Civil Engineering. Each applicant will engage in a faculty-student collaborative research project related to coastal or marine sciences.

Application Process: Complete the form below and attach a resume, current Titan Degree Audit in pdf format, and a brief description of the research project, including a description of how it relates to your career objectives (100-250 words). Please note that the faculty research mentor must sign this form.

Applications for Spring 2014 positions that are submitted by Nov. 22, 2013, 4 pm will receive first consideration. Applications submitted after that date may be accepted depending upon fund availability. Basis of the Award: A selection committee will review applications and Financial Aid will verify Federal Work Study offers and eligibility. Selection will be based on the quality of the written description of the research and career goals, as well as the student’s GPA. Awardees selected will be notified of the level of support provided for Spring 2014.
