Please Note: Affiliate meetings are intended for representatives of the USBLN® State, Regional, and Local Business Leadership Networks. These meetings will discuss topics of interest to the Boards of Directors, Executive Directors, and other organizers of Affiliate BLN activities. If you are interested in attending BLN affiliate meetings and/or starting up a BLN Affiliate in your area, please contact Aditi Dussault, Director of Affiliate Relations, prior to attending the meetings at the conference, at [email protected] or 202.487.5868.

Sunday, September 19th

1:00-1:30pm Affiliate Introductions & Goal Setting/Prioritization During this time, affiliate representatives will be able to introduce themselves and their organizations to the group. Discussion goals to prioritize include: Strategic partnerships Events/Programming Sustainability/Funding Membership Leadership Structures /Governance Marketing

The “hottest” two topics from above will be selected for immediate discussion, and the other remaining topics will be scheduled into “Affiliate Breaks” periods throughout Monday, September 20th and Tuesday, September 21st

1:30-2:15pm Discussion of Goal 1 The first of the two goals selected from above will be discussed in detail

2:15-3:00pm Discussion of Goal 2 The second of the two goals selected from above will be discussed in detail

4:15-5:00pm Life is More Than Just Coincidence – A New Corporate Initiative Speakers: Lynn Trew Kirkbride, VP Business Development, Wyoming BLN Jeryl B. Stoltz, Director, Diversity and WorkLife, Lowes Companies, Inc.

Description: A coincidence occurs when something uncanny, accidental and unexpected happens. This is what happened when the Wyoming BLN met Fred Sampson, VP Regional Distribution from Lowe’s Corporate Office last year at the USBLN® Conference. A new corporate partnership has been born. This kind of relationship might be what comes of your time at this year’s conference as you meet people and network with them. Come see the potential that lies within your reach.

Monday, September 20th & Tuesday, September 21st On Monday & Tuesday, BLN Affiliates are encouraged to attend regular conference sessions, receptions, and events. Informal “Affiliate Breaks” will be scheduled during coffee breaks, meals, and receptions for affiliate representatives to gather at designated meeting points and times to discuss pre-scheduled topics that could not be addressed during the pre-conference affiliate session.

Wednesday, September 22nd 1:45-3:00pm Post-Conference BLN Affiliate Debrief, with John Kemp USBLN® Executive Director & General Counsel

Description: This session will allow affiliate representatives to discuss the outcomes of the conference with John Kemp and members of the USBLN® Board of Directors. Action items will be developed and shared across the USBLN® Affiliate network.
