1. Briefly explain about the scope of mechatronics in manufacturing and production? 2. What is interpolation? How does a circular interpolator work? 3. Give the functions of the following codes: G00, G01, G80, G84, M02, M05, M00 and M30? 4. What are the methods involved in material processing and device fabrication? 5. Briefly explain about the principle of nano technology with examples?

6. With reference to an NC machine tool, discuss in detail open loop and closed loop NC system and incremental and absolute system? 7. Write short note on hydraulic actuators used as drives for NC machine tool? 8. Describe with the aid of a block diagram the various steps involved in computer aided part programming? Write any 3 definition of circle in APT? 9. Define the terms: Lithography, etching, ion implantation? 10. Explain the principle involved in tools-electron microscope and scanning electron microscope?
