SOR Training Center PROFESSIONAL SECURITY OFFICER “BASIC TACTICAL HANDGUN” TRAINING SEMINARS

Either this course or the CLEET Phase Four Basic Handgun course is required before any student may attend any other firearms course offered at S.O.R.

Every day legally armed citizens and Security Professionals carry their handguns in uniform or plain clothes and may encounter subjects that might use firearms or other weapons to attack and injure them or their clients.

The S.O.R. Training Center has developed this four (4) hour, semi-auto handgun only, course for these legally armed individuals to re-affirm their skills. This tactical handgun program includes:

 Basic Shooting Stance  Two Hand Presentation Drills  Clearing Malfunctions  Speed Reloading  Tactical Reloading  Standing to Kneeling Drills

SOR will furnish handouts and targets; however each student must furnish their own handgun, outside-the-pants strong side worn at the waist/hip holster that attaches to a belt, (NO TACTICAL LEG HOLSTERS) magazine pouch, three magazines, 50 handgun rounds of factory ammunition, eye and ear protection and a baseball hat.

Each student MUST wear appropriate range attire, and be prepared both mentally and physically to get into and out of a variety of shooting positions without assistance.
