Responsibilities
. This section can be a short 3 – 5 line paragraph outlining the main purpose of your role, its key responsibilities. Alternatively, present key responsibilities in a short bulleted list, no more than 3-5 points. . Avoid a “cut and paste” from a job description or a long, detailed list of tasks. . Use present tense for responsibilities, e.g. “Leading a team of xxx”, “Designing xxx system”.
Achievements
. Provide statements that describe your major achievements. These need to include both the WHAT and the SO WHAT of what you did, i.e. describe succinctly your key input and what the end results and benefits were. . There are several ways of expressing these such as “Did x and got y” or “Got y by doing x”. . Include tangible measures of success wherever possible. E.g. % or $ relating to growth in revenue, reduction in errors, improvement in customer satisfaction or team engagement, reduction in processing time and cost, improvement in quality or accuracy, achievement of individual or team targets, improvement of morale or productivity.

. Microscopically examine and diagnose gynecologic and non-gynecologic slides for infectious, pre- malignant, and malignant disease processes. . On a daily basis document interpretations to include the total number of slides screened and the total number of hours spent screening. . Communicate results clearly in both written format and verbally . Maintain specimen integrity and patient identification of all samples examined. . Enter and/or report results into the laboratory information system, as applicable. . Maintain confidentiality of patient test results. . Adhere to and document required quality control activities.
