DON'T WANT TO MISS ANOTHER DWPC VIRTUAL EVENT?

Zoom has provided information for you to set up your own event reminders for any meeting for which you have registered. Find the guidance at https://support.zoom.us/hc/en- us/articles/360001211743-Upcoming-Meeting-Reminders.

You may need to scroll down the page to find the right type of reminder for you, but just read carefully. You most likely will start with a section about halfway down the page entitled “For your own use.”

We hope this helps those who register early for our virtual events.

The lead story in the Summer 2020 edition of Historic Denver News highlights our clubhouse as the meeting site of some of the most influential suffragists in Denver: founder Minnie J. Reynolds, , , and .

A photograph of our beautiful front yard and building graces the front page above the article. “Historic Sites Still Tell the Suffragists’ Stories” describes five extant buildings important to the fight for women’s suffrage. Three of those buildings have direct ties to our organization. Besides the clubhouse, the homes of members Helen Ring Robinson and Ellis Meredith are highlighted. The other two buildings are the home of Elizabeth Piper Ensley and the home of the former George

Washington Carver Day Nursery.

All members of the Denver Woman’s Press Club should be proud of their heritage as leaders in the women’s suffrage movement.

Unfortunately, the authors of the article misspelled our name and have the wrong address, as our organization is listed as the Denver Women’s Press Club at 1310 Logan Street. It should be Denver Woman's Press Club at 1325 Logan.
