Conversations

Conversation 1: Seryn Othralen & Sevyni Saryon Seryn Othralen: You there, girl. You peddle wares here, do you not? Sevyni Saryon: Indeed I do, serjo.* Can I offer you something? Seryn Othralen: Another time. I’m simply curious; how can a fine Dunmer like yourself work in such a place? This canton is full of outlanders of the worst kind, making profits off our holy city with their mercantile greed. Sevyni Saryon: With respect, serjo,* you judge them too harshly. After all, we’ve been doing the same for generations. The Temple itself offers services at the very doorstep of Lord Vivec’s palace. Seryn Othralen: The Temple provides what is necessary. The outlanders care nothing for moderation, only excess. It saddens me that my own people could be ensnared by these foreign ideals.

*I’m not sure if it should be sera or serjo. Since he is a noble, it seems like the latter.

Conversation 2: Seryn Othralen & Marcel Maurard Marcel Maurard: Hey! My lord, a moment. Seryn Othralen: What… who? Marcel Maurard: You are in luck. I, Marcel Maurard, soon to be known throughout the land as a master of theatrical expression, will enlighten and entertain you with an excerpt from the famous play, “A Hypothetical Treachery.” Here is my refreshing interpretation of that misunderstood character, Malvasian. Ahem. [Very hammy and over-acted delivery] “Logic would dictate that a scheming battlemage would take the potion, leaving the injured party…” Seryn Othralen: Enough! Ugh, outlanders. What is this city coming to?

Conversation 3: Marcel Maurard & Sevyni Saryon Marcel Maurard: Sevyni, if I could have your ear a moment… Sevyni Saryon: Please, Marcel, I’m busy. Marcel Maurard: But Sevyni, I have to practice my art. Selling my wares may feed my body, but acting feeds my soul! Sevyni Saryon: Can’t you practice at the cornerclub or something? Marcel Maurard: Tried that. They kicked me out. Said I was bothering the patrons. Can you imagine? Now, listen to this compelling interpretation of Clavides from “Horror of Castle Xyr…” Sevyni Saryon: Almsivi, give me strength…

Conversation 4: Jobasha & Huleeya.** Only available after Huleeya comes to the bookstore. Huleeya: Does it ever tire of being watched by the Ordinators? Jobasha: Jobasha considers them a blessing, friend. If Jobasha was alone in his shop, certain people would be suspicious of his activities. With the Temple’s chosen warriors here, these people think that they have no need to worry about one little Khajiit. Huleeya: So, the soldiers are the perfect alibi. Jobasha: Yes. Sometimes, the closer one is watched, the freer he is.

Conversation 5: Jobasha & Huleeya.** Only available after Huleeya comes to the bookstore. Huleeya: Has it come across any books on Ashlander history recently? Jobasha: Sorry, friend. Jobasha keeps his eyes open, like you have asked before, but books on the topic do not often present themselves. Huleeya: That is unfortunate. This one has read much about the Great Houses in this one’s historical studies, but almost nothing on the Ashlanders. The subject is a great gap in this one’s knowledge and understanding. Jobasha: Jobasha will keep looking, but can promise nothing.

**In game, Huleeya talks about how he does not act very much like a typical Argonian, and is more similar to a standard citizen of the empire. Due to this, I am not sure if he should speak in the usual Argonian manner. Morrowind is really inconsistent with Argonian speech, so it is difficult to tell how it is really supposed to be (his dialog in game is like that of a standard NPC, as are most Argonians). The loremasters should make the call on this (I am writing him as a normal Argonian for now).

Single Lines

Single Lines 2: Miun-Gei Miun-Gei: It is so loud… this one just wants it to leave. [Only before The Bad Actor is complete]

Single Lines 3: Andilu Drothan Andilu Drothan: I feel a fit coming… Almsivi forgive my weak will… Andilu Drothan: Damn the blight… ingredients get more expensive every day…

Single Lines 4: Aurane Frernis Aurane Frernis: They can’t do this to me! If only I could find out who’s behind it… [Only use if Aurane never learns the truth during An Apothecary Slandered] Aurane Frernis: The Violet Coprinus is looking old… time to place another order.

Single Lines 5: Jobasha Jobasha: The plants could use some water…

Conversations

Conversation 1: Baissa & Rolasa Oren Baissa: May you walk on warm sands, Dunmer. Rolasa Oren: Oh, um… hello. Baissa: You seem nervous. Did Baissa say something that she should not have? Rolasa Oren: No, sorry. It’s me, not you. Please understand, I’m not from the city, and I’m not used to working so close to cats… er, Khajiit. Oh, that came out wrong… Baissa: Baissa does not blame you. You seem like a good person, and Baissa believes that you will eventually learn to accept her people, with time.

Conversation 2: Rolasa Oren & Idonea Munia Rolasa Oren: What are your dreams, Idonea? Idonea Munia: Someday I would like to move the shop out of the Waistworks, maybe to the plaza. But what I really want is to open a shop in Ebonheart. What about you? Rolasa Oren: I think that I would like to do business in the Redoran canton eventually. It might be hard, since I’m not a member of the House, but I’ll figure it out somehow. Idonea Munia: Well, I hope that we can both realize our ambitions someday.
