Inside Washington Joins Weta Tv 26 Friday Night Lineup

"INSIDE WASHINGTON" JOINS WETA TV 26 FRIDAY NIGHT LINEUP

Washington, D.C. - WETA TV 26 announced today the addition of "Inside Washington," a political roundtable produced by ABC7/WJLA-TV, to WETA's Friday night news lineup. Hosted by veteran news anchor Gordon Peterson, "Inside Washington" will debut on WETA TV 26 starting Friday, September 2 at 8:30 p.m. "Inside Washington" will continue to air on ABC7 on Sundays at 10 a.m.

"Inside Washington" with Gordon Peterson is an award-winning public affairs show, which features lively, news-breaking exchanges from a panel of leading journalists. On the air since 1969, the program is seen around the country on ABC News Now. The WETA TV 26 Friday night lineup will now be "Washington Week," moderated by Gwen Ifill, "Inside Washington," "Now" and "The Journal Editorial Report With Paul Gigot."

"Gordon Peterson shares a long history with the Washington community, where he is known and respected as a trusted voice in news," said Kevin Harris, vice president and television station manager of WETA TV 26. "'Inside Washington' will add to the depth of WETA's news analysis offered to our viewers every Friday night."

Regular contributors to the half-hour show include National Public Radio senior correspondent Nina Totenberg, Pulitzer Prize-winning conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer, assistant managing editor of Newsweek Evan Thomas, Pulitzer Prize- winning columnist and deputy editorial editor of The Washington Post Colby King, and John Harwood, senior political correspondent for The Wall Street Journal.
