 Go to the Searching module of the tutorial to review the search instructions for finding a magazine or journal article.  Search for a magazine or journal article that discusses your research question.  Type your search statement from Step 4 of this assignment in the search box of the electronic tool.  Select and print a magazine or journal article. This will be used for Part Two, the writing part of this assignment.

5 Part Two Writing: Evaluating and Citing

Follow the guidelines below for writing your paragraph and citing your sources:

A. Guidelines for Writing an Evaluative Paragraph

 Write an evaluative paragraph about your magazine or journal article that you found in Part One of the assignment.

 Explain which source you have found most valuable (interesting, informative, relevant) to your topic.

 Provide concrete reasons and details.

 Create your paragraph using MS Word.

 Your paragraph should be approximately 200 words in length. B. Guidelines for Preparing a Works Cited List

 Prepare a Works Cited list on your magazine and newspaper article using the MLA style .  To help you prepare this, use the information about the magazine and newspaper article you entered into the worksheets from Step 6 and Step 8 of Part One.

 This Works Cited list should be created using MS Word and placed on a separate page after your evaluative paragraph. Before You Finish

Make sure you have everything you need to hand in for this assignment. This includes:
