NORTHCOTE TRUST ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION FORM

The annual Northcote Trust Academic scholarship is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who have achieved outstanding results in the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) and who are enrolled to commence a suitable degree course of study at a Victorian tertiary institution. The scholarship will be in the form of a $4,000 grant, payable in each year of satisfactory progress in the selected course, for a maximum of four years. Only one scholarship is to be offered each year. Applicants must undertake an approved tertiary course of study. Students will be required to provide half yearly evidence of their academic progress. Continuation of the Scholarship will be subject to satisfactory progress in the course, however the Northcote Trust/VAEAI will confer with an appropriate representative of the institution before a decision to discontinue a Scholarship is made. The decision of the Northcote Trust/VAEAI is final. Scholarship holders must notify the Northcote Trust/VAEAI if they experience any difficulties in their studies. The Northcote Trust/VAEAI may be able to assist students experiencing difficulties. The student will be expected to participate in various community activities.
