Places We Lived

Chateaureux, France – 1957-58? This is where Donna was born. Dad was in the Air Force and was stationed there.

Kentucky – ?dates?

Shreveport, Louisana – 1959 for sure Mom and Dad lived here when she was pregnant with Jim. They were visiting in Kentucky when she was about 7 months and her water broke. She was ordered flat on her back to help prevent a premature birth. Jim was born (weeks later??), at 3 pounds and 5 ounces.

Kentucky – 1961 for sure Since I was born in Kentucky and I know that I was a baby in Indiana, and that I did not live in Shreveport, we had to have lived in Kentucky in between Louisiana and Indiana.

Indiana - dates? I know that I was a baby when we lived here. That’s all I know

Kentucky - 1962 for sure Marilyn was born in Kentucky so we had to have gone back once again!

Nashville, Tennessee - 1962-1963 Rita was born here, but I’m not sure which house we lived in at the time. I can remember three homes: A red and white trailer and two big stone or brick homes.

Kansas City, Missouri – 1963-1964 We lived in a red brick house for a short time. There is a picture of us kids in front of house, in Mom’s photo album. The picture is dated July 1964, although Rita’s not in the picture. (Mom was probably inside enjoying a moment of peace with just you!) There was a pony the field behind us. (I think there is also a picture that somewhere.)

Independence, MO – 1963-67 Although I know we lived on Sheley Avenue, I don’t have an exact address. I do, however, have addresses for our schools. Donna and Jim went to the Catholic school until the last year we were there, and then we were all put in the public school for a few (weeks?). I remember because I went to orientation for first grade at the Catholic school and then we found out we were moving so we were put in the public school.
