Johnson Stadium 25 in Columbia, the title game showcased the Skyhawks’ excellence 26 at wholehearted team play. In their ninth consecutive SCISA Class 27 AAA championship appearance, the Skyhawks reclaimed the 28 trophy after a lapse of two years, making it the school’s seventh 29 crown during those nine bids for the title; and 30 31 Whereas, Hammond fans cheered as the Skyhawks, led by a 32 staunch offensive line and livewire running back T.J. Brady, tore 33 through Laurence Manning’s defense. By the end of the game, fans 34 were already making plans for a return trip next year to see the 35 Skyhawks make it two trophies in a row; and 36 37 Whereas, the title win put the final flourish on an undefeated 130 38 season for Hammond; and 39 40 Whereas, Coach Erik Kimrey and his skilled coaching staff 41 capitalized on their own athletic ability and training to create a

[3332] 2 1 championship team and teach these athletes lessons that will prove 2 invaluable throughout life, both on and off the gridiron; and 3 4 Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of 5 Representatives appreciate the pride and recognition the Hammond 6 School football players have brought to their school and 7 community and look to hear of their continued accomplishments in 8 the days ahead. Now, therefore, 9 10 Be it resolved by the House of Representatives: 11 12 That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, 13 by this resolution, salute the Hammond School football team, 14 coaches, and school officials for an outstanding season and 15 congratulate them on winning the 2014 South Carolina 16 Independent School Association Class AAA State Championship 17 title. 18 19 Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to 20 Headmaster Chris Angel and Coach Erik Kimrey. 21 XX 22
