Inside the Box: Team Assignment Title: Final Presentation Powerpoint Due Date:
Introduction As discussed in class today, there is no final exam for this class; however, you will give final presentations during the final exam period. The presentations will be approximately 5-7 minutes with 3~5 minutes for questions and answers. We encourage your creativity, but, we also ask that you include the following in the presentation either as slides or as part of your discussion:
Title Slide (Report Title, Team Number, Names, Date, Class, Professor, Playwright, Play Title) Presentation Agenda (Tell us what you are going to tell us.)
Introduction Brief Description of the play Introduce clients (both playwright and director) and their requirements Introduce the role of the effects. Effects Context within play Intended effect of the effect Justification of selected design Design and Construction o Technical drawings of structural elements o Electrical schematics as appropriate o Materials o Problems/Solutions Control System Design and Construction Topology (System layout and connection with effects) Control Methodology (control board layout, choice of controls, buttons, etc) Schematic Conclusions Did it work? How could it have worked better?
*A good rule of thumb for presentations is “Tell me what you’re going to tell me, tell me, then tell me what you told me.”
