Presentation Agenda (Tell Us What You Are Going to Tell Us.)

Inside the Box: Team Assignment Title: Final Presentation Powerpoint Due Date:

Introduction As discussed in class today, there is no final exam for this class; however, you will give final presentations during the final exam period. The presentations will be approximately 5-7 minutes with 3~5 minutes for questions and answers. We encourage your creativity, but, we also ask that you include the following in the presentation either as slides or as part of your discussion:

 Title Slide (Report Title, Team Number, Names, Date, Class, Professor, Playwright, Play Title)  Presentation Agenda (Tell us what you are going to tell us.)

Introduction  Brief Description of the play  Introduce clients (both playwright and director) and their requirements  Introduce the role of the effects. Effects  Context within play  Intended effect of the effect  Justification of selected design  Design and Construction o Technical drawings of structural elements o Electrical schematics as appropriate o Materials o Problems/Solutions Control System  Design and Construction  Topology (System layout and connection with effects)  Control Methodology (control board layout, choice of controls, buttons, etc)  Schematic Conclusions  Did it work?  How could it have worked better?

*A good rule of thumb for presentations is “Tell me what you’re going to tell me, tell me, then tell me what you told me.”
