Synonyms: Card Sort Activity

Synonyms A synonym is a word that has a similar meaning to another word. Whereas a dictionary is used to find meanings and to check spellings of words, we use a thesaurus to help identify synonyms. Using a thesaurus can help develop our vocabulary and make our writing more interesting. Task Match the words in Table 1 to their more interesting synonyms in Table 2, and write each pair of words in your notebook. Table 1
