WELLNESS ZONE IN PORT DICKSON, NEGERI SEMBILAN, MALAYSIA

Port Dickson in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, is 34km from the state capital of Seremban and about one and half hour’s drive from Kuala Lumpur. Its sandy beaches are fringed by casuarinas, coconut palms and the spreading branches of the Banyan Tree. The Wellness Zone was established in 2007 and it is located in an area 61 Kilometer long from Lukut to Pasir Panjang in Port Dickson, Malaysia. It is an ideal place for practitioners of medicine and wellness to set up their businesses. Investors enjoy the following incentives: i. 70% of income generated by companies through services rendered to foreign tourists is exempted from tax for a period of 10 years starting from the year of assessment 2008. The tax incentive is only to be given to companies providing healthcare and wellness services as indicated in Appendix I subject to the necessary approvals from the Ministry of Health Malaysia; and

ii. Import duty and sales tax exemption on machinery and equipment directly used in rendering healthcare services. Application for incentives in paragraph (i) and (ii) should be submitted to the Malaysian Industrial Development Authority (MIDA) before 31 December 2010 at the following address:
