ProviderOne Provider Help Desk Staff (20+ positions)

Location: DSHS Headquarters, Olympia, Washington Health and Recovery Services Administration, Division of Systems and Monitoring, Division: ProviderOne Project Salary: $33,468 - $43,572 annually depending on qualifications Range 42 Closing Date: Until filled

The ProviderOne Project is recruiting for a Medical Assistant Specialist 3 (MAS3) for a temporary, non-permanent position supporting a ProviderOne Provider Help Desk. This position will be located in the Town Square complex in Olympia, Washington, where HRSA is located. This position would begin in December or early January and last for six (6) months.

POSITION OBJECTIVE: This position, working within a project team environment, has responsibility for supporting a temporary ProviderOne Provider Help Desk, providing consultative services to providers to support readiness and implementation of the new provider payment system. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: The successful candidate should have the following skills and qualifications;

 Ability to communicate effectively and professionally to ensure high quality customer service  High productivity is essential  Superior interpersonal skills, especially the ability to communicate, negotiate, listen and partner with a variety of providers  Must be able to utilize and access multiple desktop software applications  Ability to manage stress arising out of diverse conflicts and the demands of customers to provide the correct resolution of issues within a short period of time  Ability to work within a demanding project environment

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Independently analyzes provider information and situations and makes timely, accurate decisions in providing expert consultation to providers preparing for and accessing the new payment system.  Analyzes, negotiates, and resolves/triages when appropriate provider issues with a high degree of independence  Assists provides in resolving disputes or concerns with the new ProviderOne system  Resolves appropriate questions, issues, complaints and problems about the new ProviderOne payment system  Analyzes and evaluates provider emails/tickets for resolution and assistance  Prepares and mails/emails information to providers regarding ProviderOne readiness, transition, and testing, and payment  Utilizes excellent written and oral communication skills, applies effective customer service techniques and principle  Establishes effective working relations with providers and staff  Builds individual knowledge of the ProviderOne system

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

A Bachelor's degree and one year of experience providing direct client services or counseling of customers in the areas of health insurance, disability, or other related health benefits; public assistance eligibility determination; health insurance premiums/claims processing, adjusting, and investigation; or other medical premiums/claims related experience. OR One year as a Medical Assistance Specialist 2.
