3. Matters Arising There were no matters arising

4. Terms of Reference Using the Alton Buckle terms as a template, need to remove any ref to Alton! Note EECU now called Services for Young Children SfYC. Agreed to change Development Officer to “A Rep from Services for Young Children”. ACTION ST It was agreed that there was good representation locally in this group as stipulated, covering most ages/stages but possible gaps in voluntary and pre-school areas. GJ to ask Terry Bishop Community First if a Rep could attend for the voluntary sector. AW to ask a pre-school Rep to attend. ACTION GJ/AW

5. Discussion of Logo The group voted on the 4 different logos that had been mocked up by EHDC Comms Team resulting in a unanimous decision to go with No 1. The Petersfield Extended Services Steering Group had commented on the stations being in the wrong order in PLP so asked to see a mock up of this logo with the PLL or LLP in the correct order for the stations on the line. ACTION LS It was felt the logo should stand alone but strapline could be used where appropriate and this should read “Supporting the journey from birth to adulthood”.

6. Roadshow Planning Date - Tuesday 22nd March 2011 Set up from 2.30pm 3 – 5.30pm open to professionals and practitioners Clear up by 6pm

 It was emphasised that it is important to have something good to display and important that everybody knows who you are and how you fit in to the “Journey”  All exhibitors were asked to think about what they might do and their requirements.

Early Years - Transition Toolkit, practitioners with boxes, publications Children’s centre – Daisy bus 0-4yrs Transition to Reception - Salma 5-8yrs Transition to Juniors - Herne Juniors - Pat Morgan ELSA work East Meon - Sharon Yr6 – Yr7 Transition to Secondary - TPS – Shelley Brill media project, summer school, cycle to success booklets etc Connexions – Health and wellbeing drop in, summer activities, information Yr 11s, options Yr9, documentation for statemented children Locality Team – general info education welfare/CAF, transition work into secondary, restructure in children’s services. Alton College – PLD induction, preparation work, mentors East Hants DC – YISP, RAPP, Get activ8d, Youth Council  Invitations to go out to Heads/Stakeholders/Governors/other LCPs

7. Budget £10,000 to be allocated by end of March 2011.

Possible allocations:-

£500 - Roadshow £1000 - Co-ordination expenses - Gill Jones agreed to do 2hrs/week (max£500) £8000 - PSA salary to fund continuation of Sarah DeMarcos’ post and extend her role to include some support in the Petersfield area. Suggestion made that Radian Housing might also make a contribution. £500 - LCP kitty

Spending as above was agreed by all present. Alton Buckle already drawing down spending so can ascertain from their Bursar how this process works. Action ST

It was agreed that the LCP would refer the funding proposals to the headteacher group for confirmation of how/if the PSA role could work. Action ST

Also discussed was the proposal by Dawn Bellman for a Children’s Centre toolkit for parents and it was agreed that this could well be part of a future project after the roadshow whereby working together as a group we could produce up to date signposting information for families.
