HUNTER TRIAL & CLEAR ROUND

Starting at 9.30am on SUNDAY 7 APRIL 2013

Age as on Day of Event CLASSES COMPETITIONS 1. Lead Rein Cross Country (1’) Clear Round 2. 10 years & under Cross Country (1’) Clear Round 3. 11-12 years Cross Country (2’) Clear Round 4. 13-14 years Cross Country (3’) Clear Round 5. 15-16 years Cross Country (3’) Clear Round 6. 17 years & over Cross Country (3’) Clear Round

Class 1 Lead rein begins at 9.30am with Classes 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 following on.

There will be a Clear Round Ring running in conjunction with the Hunter Trial. (Entries on the day ~ Class 1 £1, all other Classes £2 per round)

All times will be available from the CVNNH website at www.cvnnh.org.uk and on the Secretary’s caravan on Saturday 6 April when the course will be available for walking after 2pm.

Will competitors please be ready for the start of their class at the given time, doing Cross Country first followed by Clear Round.

PAIRS FOR CLASSES 1 / 2 & 3 take place after class 4 PAIRS for CLASSES 4, 5 & 6 take place after class 6 (Entries for Pairs on the day @ £10/pair and if time & conditions allow)

ENTRIES MUST CLOSE: Wednesday 3 April 2013 NO DOGS ALLOWED AT ANY TIME THIS IS A CONDITION UPON WHICH WE ARE ALLOWED TO USE THE COURSE REFRESHMENTS AVAILABLE

We would like to thank Chris Wilson, accredited Course Builder, who has recently worked on this Hunter Trial course adding & improving jumps. This is an on-going exercise and it is our intention to upgrade the course every year subject to funds being available. We would also like to thank Ford & Etal Estates for their contribution towards fence material costs.

General Rules & Information  All ponies/horses must be four years & over. Regulation hats with chin straps must be worn at all times when mounted. Body protectors and medical armbands are strongly recommended.  Age of Rider for entry taken as at date of event.  Rosettes 1st – 6th place. Plaques will be awarded to the winner of each age group in the Cross Country classes 1 – 6 and the highest placed competitor in each of these classes who has hunted 5 days or more with the CVNN Hunt.  Please note: once the competition has started, some areas of the course may be roped off.  Any competitor reporting late risks elimination.  Competitors to go in numerical order round the Cross Country.  No pony or horse is permitted to go round the cross country course more than twice on the day.  A veterinary surgeon will be on call but all expenses incurred are the responsibility of the competitor.  NO DOGS ALLOWED ON THE COURSE AT ANY TIME, IN THE AREA OF THE COMPETITIONS OR IN THE CAR PARK. We are sorry to be strict about this, but it is a condition upon which we are allowed to be here at all.  The organising committee and the Hunt do not accept any liability for any accident, damage or injury to horses, owners, riders, spectators or any person or property whatsoever.  Any objections must be made to the secretary accompanied by a deposit of £10 within 10 minutes of the scores being displayed.  No refunds after the closing date.  In the event of cancellation £5 per horse will be retained to cover costs. Refunds will be sent on receipt of a SAE.  The course may be walked after 2pm on Saturday 6 April. Times will be listed on the secretary’s caravan and posted on the Hunt website at www.cvnnh.org.uk. For anyone unable to walk the course or without access to the internet, times can be obtained on Saturday 6 April between 7.00pm and 8.30pm from:

In the event of bad weather, competitors are asked to ring one of the numbers below after 12 noon on Saturday 6 April to find out if the competition is to be held.
