A CCOW TC Meeting Will Be Held in Kansas City on July 16 and 17

A CCOW TC meeting will be held in Kansas City on July 16 and 17. This is an open meeting. All who would like to participate are welcome to attend.

The meeting will be held at:

Cerner 2800 Rockcreek Parkway North Kansas City, MO 64117 (816-201-1024)

July 16 (Monday) from 12:00 to 5:00pm July 17 (Tuesday) from 8:30am to 5:00pm

The purpose of the meeting is to get agreement on content of the 1.4 specification. Candidate items to be reviewed are:

· Multiple context sessions on a single point-of-use-device · Context filter interface, enabling applications to be informed only about specific context changes · Context actions, enabling one application to request that another application perform a context- sensitive task on behalf of the end-user · Data definition refinements for patient subject, clarification of role of observation (request) subject. · Definition of DICOM subjects · Web specification refinements (incl. How to NACK a ping message) · Reformatting of the documents to conform with HL7 style guide

We then plan on conducting a prototyping session in August (location and exact date TBD) to make sure that what we documented works as intended. (This is analogous to the stagings we do before trade shows, only this time there is no trade show, just, in effect, a staging.)

If all goes well, we plan on going to full membership ballot in September, for review at the October meeting.

The documents to be reviewed at the meeting will be posted to the HL7 CCOW web site (www.hl7.org) prior to the meeting. A note will be posted on the list server letting you know the docuemnts are available once they are posted.

Please send an Email to [email protected] by June 26 if you plan on attending the meeting. An Email containing hotel and transportation information will be sent to those who are interested.
