IPA-members receive on booking and display of membership card a discount of 10% for 1 week booking and 15% for 2 weeks booking.

Basics:

Prices may be subject to change at the owner’s discretion. The Central heating in winter time cost 8 Euro/day. For access car is essential. Parking will be provided at property. Bed linen and Towels are provided.

Change over day is usually weekly bookings from Sat. p.m. to Sat. 10 a.m. – arrangements may be made for other days if possible according to booking.

These are non-smoking properties (smoking may be allowed in the garden). Sorry: no pets allowed. Self-catering.

A 100 Euro deposit required at the time of booking – this sum will also be used as a deposit for any breakages and will be re-funded to our guests at the time of leaving.

The Lucignano area, Tuscany

The rolling green Tuscan hills with breath taking panoramas alternating large vineyards, olive tree groves and winding cypress tree lined roads leading up to monasteries, farms or picturesque villages will enchant you. The immediate area counts 5 hilltop villages and Lucignano is ideally located 10 minutes from the A1 motorway leading north to the medieval pageant town of Arezzo where there is an antique fair the 1 st weekend of every month and further to Florence. Florence can also be reached by fast trains from Arezzo. Siena (the Palio’s city) is a quick drive North West by a main road (or takes the local coach from nearby Lucignano or Monte San Savino). Southwards via the famous hill crest road you can taste the pleasures of Montalcino and Montepulciano and its famous wine and Pienza, an old renaissance Papal town renowned for its local goat’s cheese. The charming town of Cortona, spills down the hill and attracts artists from around the world and you’ll enjoy visiting the various chapels, churches and small museums or just sitting in one of the piazzas taking in local life. A few km away from Cortona is the Trasimeno Lake where a leisurely boat trip will take you around the islands and resort villages by the lake. Fast speed trains from Arezzo will take you to Florence or Rome in 1 hour.

Arezzo area:

There are always lots to do locally without going afar to the popular tourist centres and you will be enchanted by Tuscan hospitality, history and gastronomy. Throughout the year the countryside is spectacular – if you want to avoid the crowds come along in spring or late summer (temperatures cool down from mid-October) or come and enjoy the local fiestas, (Maggiolata flowers fiesta in Lucignano, the last 2 Sundays of May), outdoor festivals and sunflowers in July & August.

This is a lovely holiday apartment on the ground floor of owner’s house. French windows lead onto a patio with lovely views of the hilltop village of Lucignano, 5 minutes-drive away. The kitchen/living room has a fireplace and Satellite TV. The bathroom has a bidet & shower. In the airy double bedroom is a large chest of drawers and wardrobe. This is a cold apartment in summer and centrally heated in winter with the added attraction of a fireplace. You’ll enjoy staying here at all times of the year! The owners live upstairs and are willing to give advice on local customs, visits and activities. The picturesque walled village of Lucignano has a weekly market where the main street bustles with various stalls during summer. The cafés just outside the main gate are a perfect stop for a cappuccino and free access to Wi-Fi after wandering through the medieval village or taking in the relaxed atmosphere whilst having an aperitivo before going to one of the local restaurants in or around the village. Local food is excellent and prices extremely reasonable.

To the first floor there are two large airy double bedrooms and a single bedroom with a big terrace and a chest of drawers and wardrobes and a bath room with shower. A lovely holiday house situated in the country side 1 km away from the old and historical village of Marciano della Chiana. Just 10 minute drive there are lovely views of the hilltop village of Lucignano and Monte San Savino. The apartment is situated on the first floor, the living room has fireplace and the dining room has an open modern kitchen. The bathroom has a bidet & shower, the 2 airy double bedrooms have a large chest of drawers and wardrobe. This is a cold apartment in summer and centrally heated in winter with the added attraction of a fireplace. You will enjoy staying here at all times of the year. The owner is just 50 meters away and he is willing to give advice and tips on local customs, visits and activities.
