Introductions

1. Show the students pictures of various star constellations. Ask them if they know what they are called. Discuss stars. Today we are going to read about people that look at stars. Let’s read and learn more abut constellations.

2. Show the students a picture of, or a real telescope. Ask them what they can see through a telescope. Today we are going to read about how people look at stars and what they learn about them.

3. Show the students a pictures of planets and the sun. Ask them what they see. Tell them that the sun is a star. Today we are going to read more about stars and what kind of other stars there are.
