2016 SCHOOL TRUSTEE ELECTIONS The School Trustee Elections are this year, and we need you to get involved. Being a trustee is an important and rewarding role. Parents, families, whanau and people from the wider community can all be trustees. We are looking for a range of people with a variety of skills, experiences and attributes who believe in making a positive difference to our children’s learning. Election Day is Thursday 9th June. Gary was unwell and the vet took him back to the Vet Clinic and he was found to have kidney problems. Unfortunately while at the clinic, Gary passed away. We know lots of you will miss Gary as will the staff and students here at our school.

ENCYCLOPEDIA BRITANNICA All students at our school have been given a free subscription to the Encyclopedia Britannica online. The Year 7s have been learning how to use this fantastic resource for their learning and have been sent a special link by email so they can use it at home. You can also access it via the school library website: http://library.papatoetoeint.school.nz/

PB4L – POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR FOR LEARNING We are a STAR School. ‘STAR’ stands for Safety, Trust, Attitude and Respect. Our students are all ‘STARs’ and behaviour management centers on these concepts and values. HEART PARENTING Hosting a FREE parenting event for parents of teenagers with Esther Cowley Malcolm from Brainwave Trust. ‘Unravelling the adolescent brain’ taking place on June 30th 2016, 6:30-8:30pm at Tamaki College. There will be a sausage sizzle at 6pm supported by Just for Dads group. The session is ideally suited for families with teenagers or those approaching the teenage years. AUCKLAND GIRLS GRAMMAR SCHOOL Open Day Tours Thursday 2 June 9.30am-2.30pm Auckland Girls’ Grammar School welcomes enrolments from students throughout Auckland.
