 Advising customers about products in the pharmacy and cosmetics departments and filling prescriptions.  Interpreting for Spanish-speaking customers when they have questions about specific products and when they need help in the pharmacy or health clinic.  Creating announcements and advertisements in Spanish to promote products to a larger public.

PROJECTS

Translator, Project Manager, and Editor 2015 University of Louisville Louisville, KY

 Worked in both individual sessions and as part of a team on translating a video game from English to Peninsular Spanish for the LOCJAM contest.  Utilized SDL Trados and SDL Multiterm to enter the translation and to construct a termbase, autosuggest dictionary, and translation memory with information specific to the target culture and terminology of the game.  Took on the roles of project manager and editor in order to understand how they work with a translator on a large-scale project.

Translator and Subtitler 2015 University of Louisville Louisville, KY

Transcribed, translated, and created subtitles with the program Amara for various scenes of the Peruvian film Flor de Retama and wrote a scholarly paper discussing the project and issues in subtitling.
