Introduction This test plan will provide methods to test the performance of the deliverables.
Deliverable This test plan is part of the deliverable for items listed below from the Detailed Work Breakdown Structure: 1.3.2.5.1.7.2 – Create test plan for testing correct operation of bid route interface. After the successful completion of the testing, the items listed below from the Detailed Work Breakdown Structure will also be complete: 1.3.2.5.1.7.3 – Verify correct operation of bid route interface.
Description of Document This document defines the methods that should be used to ensure the successful completion of all tests defined within.
Intended Audience of Document The following personnel are the intended audience for this document:
PSDC Q&A TxPROS PMT personnel TxDOT TxPROS testing personnel TxDOT TSD personnel
Description of How to Verify Bid Route Interface In order to verify that the bid route interface operates as designed, the following tests should be performed. Each test should be completed in its entirety, and the results of each should be recorded and sent to PSDC. The bid route interface will be checked by going to the alpha version of the website and using the interface that is in place there.

Checklist of Items to Test What follows is a listing of various tests that should be completed while using the bid route interface to determine whether it meets the various compliance and usability standards set forth in the Design Document.
There is a link provided to access the bid route interface. The link provides access to a screen describing limitations of the bid route interface.
The limitations of the bid route interface are correctly described on the appropriate screen.
The bid route introduction screen has a link to access the vehicle parameter entry screen.
The vehicle entry parameter entry screen has all needed parameters for routing within the limitations of the bid routes.
The interface has a location entry screen with all of the entry and via point options specified in the Design Documents: o Address o Intersection o Border crossing o Mile marker o Find on map o No Via points o City Via points o Highway name Via points
Each of the location entry options work correctly.
Each of the location entry options has adequate and correctly working multi-match capabilities.
Each of the location entry options, where applicable, has adequate notification of no match.
The map for the Find on map option works correctly, has usable map zoom capabilities, and has a correctly working measurement tool.
The interface calculates a route and map from the origin to the destination that correctly takes into account all Restrictions applicable based upon the vehicle parameters entered.
4 TxDOT Motor Carrier Division Deliverable Test Plan – Routing Module Prototype TxPROS Project FINAL 2.5.1 Version 1.0 August 18, 2008 Bid Route Interface The interface has all map navigation capabilities as described in the design documentation.
Restrictions that can affect the route are displayed on the map.
Restrictions are displayed according to the specifications set forth in the Design Documents.
Route Driving directions are in the same format as defined within the Design Documents.
