**input name of school** is committed that all employees (and non employees who are working for the school) performing tasks that may have health and safety risks, are competent on the basis of appropriate education, training and/or appropriate experience.
It is the responsibility of Head Teacher to ensure that persons receive the information, instruction, and training required for the employee to carry out their duties safely and effectively.
Training needs, including health and safety training, are reviewed at the start of employment, and periodically throughout the year. This is the responsibility of the Head Teacher.
It is the responsibility of the board of governors to ensure adequate resources so that an effective training programme can be established within **name of school**. It is the responsibility of the CBC H&S Team to provide advice on health and safety training; this is provided through the CBC training matrix spreadsheet (006A). The training matrix provides guidance only; schools must make their own decisions with regard to training requirements for staff in line with risk assessments and job descriptions.
No health and safety training can be provided by the CBC H&S team, all H&S training for **input name of school** must be sourced from other suppliers.
Training records must be kept for all training courses and these will be subject to auditing by the CBC health and safety team.
