6. Areas of status, progress or concern

13628-1, General requirements and recommendations (Edition 3) The development of ISO 13628-1, edition 3, is in progress, but somewhat behind schedule. The project group met in January 2011 to discuss how to improve the progress. Result unknown.

13628-2, Unbonded flexible pipe systems for subsea and marine applications (Edition 3) A project group for development of edition 3 has been established. Status of work to be checked.

13628-3, Through flowline (TFL) systems ISO 13628-3:2000 was subjected for systematic review in 2010 and confirmed for another five years.

13628-4, Wellhead and tree equipment (Edition 2) The standard was published 2010-12-15.

2 13628-5, Subsea control umbilicals (Edition 2) Published 2009-12-15.

13628-6, Subsea production control systems (Edition 3) Final draft DIS for formating etc. is received from Jens-Henrik 2011-02-22.

13628-7, Workover/completion riser systems (Edition 2) It is expected that a draft CD (or DIS) will be completed after the summer of 2011 (see email 2011-02- 18).

13628-8, Remotely operated tools and interfaces on subsea production systems DIS 13628-8 is circulated for enquiry terminating 2011-04-11.

13628-9, Remotely Operated Tool (ROT) intervention systems See ISO 13628-13.

13628-10, Specification for bonded flexible pipe (Edition 1) The standard was subjected for systematic review in 2009 and confirmed for another five years.

13628-11, Flexible pipe systems for the subsea and marine riser applications (Edition 1) The standard was adopted by API in July 2008 (API 17B).

ISO 13628-11:2007 was subjected for systematic review in 2010 and confirmed for another five years.

13628-12, Dynamic production risers A completed WD was circulated for comments no later than 2010-12-08. DIS ready for ISO/CS was planned to be completed immediately after Christmas.

To follow the formal procedures for an ISO project the WG 6 secretariat has asked the project leader to send the final WD, prepared by the ISO 13628-12 project group, to ISO/TC 67/SC 4/WG 6 "Subsea equipment" ([email protected]) for review and further forwarding to ISO/TC 67/SC 4.

An extension request has been sent to ISO/CS. DIS no later than 2011-12-31. Awaiting approval.

13628-13, Remotely operated tools and interfaces on subsea production systems ISO 13628-13 is vacant.

13628-14, High integrity pressure protection system (HIPPS) The NWIP was approved in June 2010. Status of work is not known.

13628-15, Subsea structures and manifolds FDIS was uploaded onto the ISO system 2011-01-10.

Pending ISO final review and preparation before release under a FDIS ballot.

13628-16, Specification for flexible pipes ancillary equipment Kick-off addressing the DIS comments in January 2011 (see report from Krassimir Doynov 2011-01-14).

13628-17, Recommended practice for flexible pipes ancillary equipment Kick-off addressing the DIS comments in January 2011 (see report from Krassimir Doynov 2011-01-14).

7. Resource needs For the time being: none identified.

3 8. Anticipated New Work Items

API RP 17Q "Subsea qualification" has been of interest to WG 6 as basis for a joint ISO standard. Preliminary work for NWIP has been carried out by Lars Petter Sollie, Shell. It has, however, been concluded that there is no need for a "subsea qualification" part of ISO 13628 as the subject is satisfactorily covered by other ISO standards.
