PROCEDURE FOR BRINGING A NON-STUDENT TO THE PROM

Students may bring a student from outside West End High School (guest student) if the conditions outlined below are met. Any questions related to bringing an outside guest should be addressed to your prom sponsor and/or administrator.

We all want the prom to be an enjoyable event for everyone. We also want it to be a safe and incident-free evening. That is why the Administration reserves the right to approve or deny the attendance of anyone who is not a member of the West End student body. We thank you for your cooperation.

The Guest Student:  Must be at least 15 years of age but less than 21 years of age and all other Prom rules apply.  Must have an official photo ID and must submit a copy of the photo ID no later than 2 weeks prior to the event.  Must have their ID with them and show the ID at the door the night of the Prom. The Host Student:  Will submit the necessary information regarding the guest student, including a copy of their photo ID and information about the school they attend/attended. The Administration reserves the right to contact the Administration/past Administration of the guest student.  Will be responsible for the actions and behaviors of the guest student.

Please keep in mind that the safety of all those students in attendance at the Prom is of the utmost importance to us. We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable time.

IMPORTANT NOTES: You may NOT change prom dates without permission once your date has been approved. Falsifying the information about your guest will result in suspension and/or loss of privilege to attend the Prom. All outside guests must present photo ID to enter the prom. Please understand that you are responsible for the behavior of your guest. Any student who brings a guest to prom will be responsible for the behavior of their guest and may receive consequences for any inappropriate behavior by a guest.
