. Large Post It Pads around the Classroom
. Sharpie Colored Markers Assortment.
(Evocation: Bell Ringer) 2 minutes.
1. Pose the Question on the board for students and allow them to do a five minute free write: You are wounded on the Battlefield during the battle of Gettysburg. What type of thought would be going through your head? What type of help would you try to seek?
2. Discuss responses key into their fears and expectations. Write it Jigsaw Activity 35-40 minutes.
Post the Various Pictures around the room by the various Large Post it Pads.
Have Students reflected on what they see in the image and what they think might be happening.
Divide the class into 8 stations that analyze the pictures.
Rotate Stations every 5 minutes.
Have Students discuss their findings to you personally as you go to each station.
Let’s Examine the Evidence (Last 5-10 minutes of class)

Have the Students construct a Journal Entry as a Wounded Soldier, Surgeon or Nurse the students should be graded on details from the knowledge learned.
