Pose the Question on the board for students and allow them to do a five minute free write: You are wounded on the Battlefield during the battle of Gettysburg. What type of thought would be going through your head? What type of help would you try to seek?</p><p>2. Discuss responses key into their fears and expectations. Write it Jigsaw Activity 35-40 minutes. </p><p> Post the Various Pictures around the room by the various Large Post it Pads.</p><p> Have Students reflected on what they see in the image and what they think might be happening.</p><p> Divide the class into 8 stations that analyze the pictures.</p><p> Rotate Stations every 5 minutes. </p><p> Have Students discuss their findings to you personally as you go to each station. </p><p>Let’s Examine the Evidence (Last 5-10 minutes of class)</p><p> Watch the Video about Civil War medicine (4 Minutes)</p><p> Have the Students construct a Journal Entry as a Wounded Soldier, Surgeon or Nurse the students should be graded on details from the knowledge learned. </p><p>NCSS Standards</p><p>Standard 1.
