Mark your calendars now. NO SCHOOL on February 6th and February 20th!

Do you know our corporation improvement goals? While we have many goals we are currently working on, a common goal K-12 is curriculum mapping.

What is curriculum mapping? A process for collecting and recording curriculum-related data that identifies core skills and content taught, processes employed, and assessments used for each subject area and grade level.

Why is curriculum mapping important for RCSD? It will help us focus on standards and skills necessary at each grade level, subject area and life. It will help us be better educators for our students. It will ensure skills are being taught at the right time, practiced, and have a definite point of mastery.

When will RCSD be finished with our curriculum mapping goal? Our action plan has been started, and all mapping should be complete by May 2019.

If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Dennison.

Jump Rope for Heart!!! Students will be bringing home information for Jump Rope for Heart. This is a choice to participate in this activity to collect sponsors. The last time Rossville Elementary participated in this event, students raised over $8,000. Now that was impressive!!! Ask your child about Jump Rope for Heart. ~Mrs. Mohler
