1.03 QUALITY ASSURANCE A. Qualifications 1. MANUFACTURER: Bamboo Plywood Manufacturer’s Qualifications: a. Minimum fifteen (15) years continuous experience producing bamboo plywood and bamboo solid sheet products, and minimum ten (10) years producing bamboo strand products. b. Bamboo must be FSC-certified and manufactured at an ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified facility. 2. Performance Testing: a. Strand bamboo plywood must meet or exceed the specified ASTM physical property performance requirements.

1.04 SUBMITTALS Submit under provision of Section 00 62 11, Submittal Transmittal Form. A. Specification: 1. Submit strand bamboo plywood specification sheets, FSC certification, and independent laboratory test results for CA Section 01350. B. Product Data: 1. Manufacturer’s data sheets on each product to be used. 2. Samples: Obtain [#] 6-inch samples of plywood materials specified. 3. Electronic copy of letter from testing laboratory confirming CA Section 01350“pass” for office and classroom. C. Green Building Rating System Submittals: Documented independent third party certification of low emitting materials; Forest Stewardship Council certification verification of chain of custody from supplier of bamboo products; manufacturer’s product data for each product used, indicating that product(s) are manufactured from a rapidly renewable resource; and other rating system submittals as required.

1.05 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING A. Deliver materials in original unopened cartons until ready for fabrication and/or installation. B. Acclimating the bamboo sheet products may be necessary. Refer to “Working with Plyboo Strand,” http://www.plyboo.com/downloads/working-plyboostrand. C. Reference Section 01 66 00: Product Handling and Storage Requirements. 1. Do not store directly on concrete or near outside walls. Store lying flat, on pallets, or shelving.

1.06 PROJECT CONDITIONS A. Anticipate and schedule work to assure environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental condition outside manufacturer absolute limits.
