1 GENERAL

A. Equipment materials and components shall be available for purchase from the product manufacturer as standard replacement parts while the product is commercially available from the manufacturer.

B. Product shall be thoroughly tested and operationally proven by the manufacturer prior to sale or installation.

C. Online or phone support services shall be supplied by the manufacturer to provide information or assistance in product use, installation, and configuration.

D. Products proven defective in materials or workmanship during the stated period of warranty shall be repaired or replaced by the manufacturer without additional charge.

2 PRODUCTS

A. The digital video recorder (DVR) shall provide a recorder capable of storage and playback of images from 1 to 32 camera inputs at a simultaneous recording rate of up to 240 images per second (NTSC) at CIF resolution.

B. The DVR shall record at resolutions up to 4CIF (704 x 480, NTSC). With the ability to record up to 240 images per second in CIF resolution on NTSC systems (200 ips on PAL systems), users shall be able to record full- motion video (352 x 240 NTSC, 352 x 288 PAL). Individual adjustments shall be possible per input to meet a given installation requirement for video retention.

C. The DVR shall use H.264 Scalable Video Compression (SVC), allowing the user the ability to view and control the DVR across a local or wide area network. The DVR shall have the ability to view live and recorded video simultaneously while continuing to record without interruption.

D. The DVR shall support up to 9TB of hard disk drive internal storage, and be RAID capable.

E. The DVR shall incorporate a USB port for exporting video and shall have a DVR-RW optical drive.

F. The DVR shall incorporate PTZ dome control through the PTZ GUI Interface (RS-232/422 Interface)

G. The DVR’s outputs shall provide for efficient control and effective deterrence. The choice of VGA or composite main monitor output shall provide flexibility for the user. The main monitor output shall be adjustable to display in full, 4, 9, 13, 16, 20, 25, 28, 33, 36, 40, 49, and 64 division formats on the main monitor. The digital video recorder’s spot monitor shall be adjustable to display in full or 4 division format. The DVR shall also display an event popup on the spot monitor in response to an alarm or motion event.

H. The DVR shall support operation using the front panel, remote control keypad, or USB mouse. Remote software shall include a remote client, Web client, export viewer, and emergency agent application and shall be provided

as part of the system. The remote client shall provide capability to operate the DVR and interface simultaneously with up to 16 servers within the family of DVR models. Using a standard Web browser, the Web client shall be able to connect to one DVR server, remotely monitor and display live video for up to 16 cameras, and operate the unit. The emergency agent application shall alert users when one or more channels detect an event (for example, motion, alarm, video loss, and so forth). The export viewer shall be able to play back video exported from the DVR server and recognize and verify the digital watermark embedded in the native video. Page 2 I. The DVR shall support automatic programming of Daylight saving time updates each year.

J. The DVR shall be based on a Windows 7 Professional operating system and incorporate real-time live viewing, playback viewing, and search viewing based on camera, date, time, motion, and alarm functions.

K. The DVR shall support event notifications by e-mail, emergency agent, or sounder functionality.

L. The digital video recorder shall meet or exceed the following design and performance specifications:
